Softball players Hannah Dukeman and Emma Eubank

CLEAT AUCTION FOR CANCER RESEARCH

Pliable athletes Hannah Dukeman and Emma Eubank have a lot in common. They are roommates, they are softball teammates and they are both extremally passionate about finding a cure for cancer.

The two college athletes are using their name, image and likeness (NIL) to raise funds for cancer research. The two softball players at Ball State University were the first college athletes in the country to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research. Since the auction, they have created merchandise and created a fundraiser for team #CURECANCER. In total they have raised more than $4,500.

The two designed their own cleats (see below) to raise awareness and funds for critical cancer research by creating an online auction.  They have announced that they plan to design new cleats for the upcoming 2024 season.

Emma plans to complete a thesis in cancer biology and earn her PhD.

Hannah plans to work in a hospital to help diagnose and provide treatment for children with cancer. Learn more about Hannah.

THE HISTORIC CLEATS

The cleats on the left were designed and game-worn by Hannah Dukeman. The cleats on the right were designed and game-worn by Emma Eubank. In total, the two pairs of cleats were auctioned off for

more than $800.

Hannah Dukeman and Emma Eubank will be creating new cleats and an auction for the upcoming 2023-24 season at Ball State University.
